Schools adopt the city
The project was created by the Municipality of Palermo in 1994, immediately after the mafia massacre that caused the death of Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, magistrates that strenuously fought for their home city in order to foster a of culture of legality on mafia subculture. Since those days, the project, every year regularly takes place; all the schools are involved with the aim of making nowadays students the citizens of tomorrow, perfectly aware of the richness we have in Palermo. Students become guides and show to tourists and to citizens the historical and artistic beauties that every single school adopts.

AGT awards the best young guides
In occasion of the event “Palermo opens its doors-schools adopt the city” promoted by the Municipality of Palermo in cooperation with schools, Palermo AGT awards to the best young guides the prize “Antonio Trapani” in memory of a friend and colleague among the founders of the association who died prematurely.Download article from GdS »
